Carlos Leñador Rivas is one of the best Canarian swimmers as well as Spain swimming champion. In 2009 he broke the Spanish record for 200 meters butterfly in the pool of his team club, CN Metropole, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. In March 2015 he established the Canarian record in 50 meters freestyle with a time of 22.73 sec., becoming the fastest canarian swimmer of all times.
Carlos has been training in different swimming clubs in Spain, as well as in the High Performance Centre (HPC) for Sports located in Barcelona. In 2011 Carlos joint the prestigious swimming club CN Sabadell, having Frederic Vergnoux as coach, who has been the coach of Mireia Belmonte. He is back to his original team CN Metropole where he is also coaching young swimmers.
